Bon Voyage, Gaile!

After five years as our dedicated Guild Wars community manager, Gaile Gray has decided to assume a new role at ArenaNet. To honor her and the commitment she has shown, we are hosting an in-game farewell party this weekend. For more information about Gaile’s new role, visit her user page on the Guild Wars wiki. We’ll have more information about our plans for the Guild Wars community team next Monday.

Tournament News

This weekend, players and guilds will, once again, compete in our March Automated Tournaments, so place those last minute Xunlai Tournament House votes. Also, remember that this weekend is the deadline for claiming your February Xunlai prizes.

Next month, the automated tournament is a special event to commemorate Guild Wars's third anniversary. In this tournament, we are offering both double tournament reward points and double cash prizes. To prepare, we've posted April's schedule, map rotation, rules, and enhanced prize list here.

GUILD IMPOSTER/STALKER (Not a member of [NGMA])

It is surprising the lengths some go to to harrass other players how do we /report this ?

Thes person needs to be removed for stalking ( all week) and impersonating our guild leader.

What his motives are are uncertain but he should really get a life!

The character we moved away from Reapers Avenger has copied our guild cape and always hangs about where we are . gw1451.jpg

Guild of the Week: KISS

Update - Tuesday March 18

Real-Money Trading

Today we are taking steps to further protect the game from abuse by real-money trading (RMT) companies. Please read our Policy on Real-Money Trading for more information on how and why we block real-money trading.

  • We are adding the ability to block certain IP addresses from the game. In the coming days and weeks, we will be using this capability to block addresses of RMT companies that heavily abuse the game.
  • We are also adding code to detect and block IP addresses that are running an open proxy, so that players cannot mask their real IP address by connecting to the game through an open proxy.
  • To clarify our policy on blocking IP addresses from the game, we added the following line to section 7 of the User Agreement:

NC Interactive may from time to time in its sole discretion implement various forms of filtering, blocking or monitoring of IP addresses or proxies used to use, play or access the Game(s) or the Service, including without limitation blocking or filtering measures that restrict your ability to use, play or access the Game(s) or Service outside of the territories in which NC Interactive makes the Game(s) or Service available.

  • To combat a growing problem with account fraud, newly created accounts are now restricted from trading with other players within the first 24 hours after account creation. Please see today’s Dev Update for more information on this change.

Bug Fixes

  • Fixed a bug in the Fissure of Woe quest The Tower of Strength that sometimes caused one of the Shadow Patrol groups to spawn inside the tower.

Real-Money Trading and You

We take the topic of buying and selling in-game items for real currency very seriously, as it has many consequences that affect our community as well as gameplay. To learn more about our stance on this topic and why we don't allow real-money trading, check out our real-money trading policy page.
